Repairing broken printer hinge for HP Photosmart C7180 All-In-One?
I have an HP Photosmart C7180 All-in-One. The problem is that the left side hinge is broken so the scanner/copier lid isn’t able to stay properly connected to the printer.
I noticed the hinges could be replaced… there are screws in the back. When I contacted HP about the problem, they suggested I get a replacement Document Lid Assembly… but that’s not the broken part. This lid is what the hinges go into.
I don’t know if there is any hope of solving the issue as the “parts” at the HP website don’t seem to include this particular one.

Is there a part perhaps not included there or that I’ve overlooked?
Any suggestions or do I just continue to live with it until I get a new printer?

Look with warranty for your printer (even if warranty expired ) , go to this shop and maybe find a part of printer from other similar printer you need (second hand) . just try !
